HULTSBRUK

Blacksmithing gathering

In 2010, Hults Bruk Smidescentrum organized an international blacksmithing gathering from August 18–22, with invited blacksmiths from Iceland, Russia, Estonia, and Sweden.

Over the course of five days, the forge was transformed into a dynamic meeting place. Together, the blacksmiths shaped heated steel into three monumental sculptures, each designed collaboratively by participants from every nation.

On Sunday, August 22, the results of the international gathering were presented. Municipal representative Li Teske welcomed the initiative and expressed great appreciation for what the collective of blacksmiths had achieved. The municipality of Norrköping has a long tradition of industrial manufacturing, and here at Hults Bruk, the blacksmithing tradition remains very much alive.
